Hellenic Dancers of New Jersey

Travel to the Peloponnese, Macedonia, and beyond with The Hellenic Dancers of New Jersey! Founded in 1972, The Hellenic Dancers of New Jersey features 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-generation Greek Americans using dance to preserve and share the spirited folk traditions, history, and culture of villages and regions of Hellenism, including mainland Greece, the islands, Cyprus, and Asia Minor. A visual feast for audiences, performances also feature traditional costumes – most of which were handmade by our founder, Presbytera Eleni Chakalos – that are representative of the various Hellenic communities.
